YOURgb EVENTS LTD is on the hunt for an experienced Event and Sponsorship Manager.

The @YOURgb team is looking for another passionate professional to join the team. The position is full time 09:00 – 17:30, Mon to Fri, Edinburgh based (New Town). Travel and out of hours work should be expected.

The right candidate will have a minimum of two years experience in end-to-end event creation and delivery. You will be a tremendous ‘people person’, proactive and organised, with a keen eye for detail and a flair for logistics. You will be competent in event budget management and rock bright negotiation skills. You will posses a true passion for the creation and delivery of exceptional events. An excellent sense of humour is highly recommended.

YOURgb EVENTS, headed up by Gilly Bain, is a company of creative event and sponsorship managers. @YOURgb employs a small team of dedicated event managers and coordinators, along with trusted freelancers and event specialists.

The team is soon going to be a valued member short due to maternity leave. @YOURgb are looking for a passionate and capable candidate to fill the role of Senior Events and Sponsorship Manager for the duration of the maternity leave, however it should be noted that the intention is to continue the employment after the cover is completed. 

The successful candidate will work closely with Gilly and the team to grow @YOURgb’s diverse event and sponsorship activation portfolio, and will be integral to the delivery of the events on the ground.

You will need to be a hard worker, a confident leader, and a genuine team player.

You will have a minimum of two years experience in the creation and delivery of UK and International events. Ideally you will be experienced in event strategising, objective setting and success measurement. You will have dealt with sponsorship sourcing, negotiation and management. You will have experience in managing delegate numbers ranging from 50 - 1000+ and be an exceptional ‘people person’ that is organised and proactive, with a keen eye for detail and a flair for logistics. 

You will need to be competent in event budget management, social media savvy and rock bright negotiation skills. You should believe wholeheartedly in the value of building strong and sincere relationships with clients, colleagues, freelancers and suppliers. An excellent sense of humour is highly recommended.

Above all, you must possess a true passion for the creation and delivery of exceptional events.
